Say NO to Usury

usuryWhat makes a Rich "richer" and Poor "poorer"

One of the issues posing serious challenges to the world today is usury or Riba or interest. When interest infects an entire economy, it jeopardises the well-being of everyone living in that society. If interest is allowed, the rich (who are most likely to be the lenders) will exploit the poor (borrowers). As a result, the rich becomes richer and the poor becomes poorer. This generates envy and hatred among the poor towards the rich, Consequences of this system being the social disorders, conflicts and at times breeds revolutions & movements.

AlFalah India has taken initiative to encourage interest (Riba) free transactions by facilitating interest free deposits and interest free loans. Join hands with us to Say NO to Usury or Interest or Riba and create an interest free economy.

The blessed Prophet (peace be upon him) declared that any transaction involving an exchange of ‘money’ for ‘money’ must be an equal exchange, i.e., with no difference in amount of money exchanged. He declared that an unequal exchange (that would open the door for money to increase over time) would be RibaNarrated by Jabir ibn Abdullah

Allah’s messenger (pbuh) cursed the acceptor of interest (i.e., the money-lender), and its payer (barrower who pays interst on a loan), and one who records it, and the two witnesses; and He said: they are all equalNarrated by Jabir ibn Abdullah

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) declared that the consumption of even a Dirham (a silver coin worth a few dollars) of Riba (usury) was equivalent to “committing adultery 36 times”. He also declared that Riba was comprised of 70 parts and that the smallest part (was so bad that) it was equivalent to “a man marrying his own motherNarrated by Jabir ibn Abdullah
